Born in the sticky-hot depths of South Georgia, Felix found his true home in the winter wonderland of Illinois, trading suffocating Bible Belt politics and endless summer days for the blessed relief of snow and progressive ideals.
He's been scribbling stories since he could hold a pencil, though it took until his late twenties to gather the courage to send them into the world. His first published piece, "Back to the Soil," snuck out under the pen name Tina Grehm. These days, he writes as himself, crafting visceral tales of cosmic horror and religious terror that would make his Sunday school teachers lose sleep.
When he's not nose-deep in books for his Creative Writing Master's degree, Felix leads a local chapter of Shut Up & Write!, creating spaces where writers can focus on getting words on the page without distraction. His experience running an indie press during the early days of COVID-19, though brief, deepened his love for working with other authors and understanding the craft of horror from both sides of the editorial desk.
Being a trans man colors everything Felix writes, weaving questions of identity and transformation into his horror fiction. His work delves into the terrifying depths of religious zealotry, cosmic horror, and the unspeakable terror of eldritch entities. He specializes in extreme horror and splatterpunk, never shying away from the darker aspects of human nature and supernatural terror.
At home, Felix shares his space with his partner, their daughter, and three cats who might actually be eldritch beings in disguise. When not writing or studying, he's probably dissecting horror movies or exploring the darkest corners of the genre.
