Born in the sticky-hot depths of South Georgia, Felix found his true home in colder climates, trading suffocating Bible Belt politics and endless summer days for more progressive spaces. When recent political developments in the United States turned genuinely terrifying, he and his partner sought asylum in Winnipeg, Canada, rebuilding their lives far from the chaos.
He's been scribbling stories since he could hold a pencil, though it took until his late twenties to gather the courage to send them into the world. His first published piece, "Back to the Soil," snuck out under the pen name Tina Grehm. These days, he writes as himself, crafting visceral tales of cosmic horror and religious terror that would make his Sunday school teachers reach for their prayer books.
Felix is currently working toward his Creative Writing Master's degree while serving as an admin on the Horror Writers Discord server, hosting events and fostering community among genre writers. He launched Apep Press, his indie horror imprint, in early 2025, though had to pause operations during the asylum process. Once settled in his new apartment, he's eager to get back to working with other authors and building the press into a home for dark fiction.
Being a trans man colors everything Felix writes, weaving questions of identity and transformation into his horror fiction. His work delves into religious zealotry, cosmic horror, and eldritch terror. He specializes in extreme horror and splatterpunk, never shying away from the darker aspects of human nature because sometimes the most honest stories are the bloodiest ones.
At home, Felix shares his space with his partner and three cats of questionable supernatural origin. Despite recent upheavals, he's committed to rebuilding his literary community and getting back to publishing dark fiction through Apep Press. When not writing or studying, he's dissecting horror movies or hunting for that next perfect nightmare.
Want to chat about cosmic horror, extreme fiction, or why religious trauma makes the best fuel for terror? Feel free to reach out. He's much friendlier than his fiction suggests.
